Main objective: Present innovative initiatives of Democratic Governance in Cities, promoting meetings of Networks through exchanges of experiences and debates, generating transference of good practices in city management’s field.
Target-Public: Mayors, academics and specialists, representatives of the civil society, private sector and other partners who promotes experiences of democratic participation focused in urban territories and directed to the induction of local development in cities.

Simultaneous Events:
a.Launching of the Intercity System of Qualification in Local Participative Planning and Management (outcome of the work of the nine partner cities of Project B of the Urbal Network, whose objective is to create the international center of qualification in Planning and local participatory management, as a form to increase the knowledge about different instruments of participatory democracy).
b.Presentation of the academic research “Observing Porto Alegre´s Participatory Budget: social and associative profile, evaluation, formation of a democratic political culture and potential innovations”, outcome of the partnership between the Observatory of Porto Alegre (ObservaPOA) and the Master Degree Program in Sociology of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
